Armor in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is based on a 20 slot system:

• 4 in the head for a helmet, an arming cap, a coif and a necklace;
• 6 in the hand slots, being: a shield, a melee weapon such as a sword or axe, a bow/crossbow, bolts/shafts, and 2 ring slots;
• 6 slots for the chest for a hood, a belt, chest armor such as plate or a brigande, a shirt/gambeson, gloves and handwraps;
• the last 4 slots are for legs armor (comprised of three parts called the cuisse, poleyns and greaves), padding, hose and footwear such as sabatons, boots or shoes.

The game is currently in Beta, so armor is very common, though difficult to come by. As of the recent update in Alpha 0.5, you can no longer loot the corpse. It is now considered a crime and you will lose all items if you try.

• In Samopesh, there is a merchant. For armor, he sells: a brown jacket.
• At the military camp, you can rent armor for 10 groshen. This gives you: a kettle helmet and gauntlets.
• When you gain the quest to kill Cumans, they can be found in a forest nearby. There are two of them: an archer and a warrior. The archer carries: a pointed bascinet, a hauberk, a long linen shirt, linen pants and pointed shoes. The warrior carries: a closed faced bascinet, a double cuirass (made of scale armor), a hauberk, a long linen shirt, linen pants, a plate guard of vambrace and spaulders (arm and shoulder armor) and pointed shoes.
• In the quest to find Reeky, after discovering his cave, you will face two opponents. They are armed with shields. One has plate couters (Best in Beta for arm armor so far)
• There is a Cuman wandering the road to Reeky's cave, wearing a chain hauberk, a pointed bascinet, riding boots and a red long shirt. He is armed only with a bastard sword.
• Before the final battle you are sent to scout the camp of the Cumans and Bandits. Unless you already have all Cuman items equipped, you will be spotted and attacked by several opponents at once. While this is a difficult way to get items, you can lure opponents out to fight them one on one, getting you armor quite quickly.
• During or after the final battle, the build-up from the Beta, you can find all the armor in the game on dead bodies. Be warned though, you will be attacked by everyone as this is considered theft and desecration of the body.
