The year is 1403 and the Kingdom of Bohemia is struggling with an internal conflict. The beloved King and Holy Roman Emperor, Charles IV, has passed away and left Bohemia and the whole empire in the hands of his son, King Wenceslas IV. Unfortunately the new King spends most of his time hunting and feasting, rather than attending to the affairs of the state. This hasn’t gone down well with the imperial nobility, who demand King Wenceslas get involved in looking after his kingdom, but to no avail.

In the end, the exasperated nobles turn to his half-brother, King Sigismund of Hungary, who decides on a radical solution; he invades Bohemia, abducts Wenceslas and starts to pillage the Kings’ estates. One of these is Silver Skalitz, a mining town that is one of the main sources of silver for the royal coffers. You play the role of Henry, a young blacksmiths’ son from Skalitz, whose life is turned upside down when the flames of civil war reach his hometown...
