* Henry probably won't have the best equipment when he starts this quest and most possibly will not have trained enough in sword fighting or bow techniques to make an impression on the waiting [[Cumans]] in the camp. Best approach probably is trying to solve it the stealthy way and sneak behind Lord Capon to free him. Check out the situation from a safe distance, because there should be two guards, one waiting and watching, the other resting/asleep. In doubt, it might help to wait, until there is a chance to sneak near Capon.

The Prey is one of the main quests in the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Description

In the course of my training I had the honour of making the acquaintance of Sir Hans Capon, and we didn't get off to a very good start; we ended up brawling in the tavern. Sir Hanush is punishing both of us by sending us hunting together. It was clear that neither one of us was looking forward to the expedition.

Objectives

  • Meet Lord Capon at dawn in the courtyard of the Upper Castle.
  • Follow Hans Capon.
  • Go to the camp.
  • Bring Capon wine and bacon from his saddlebag.
  • (Optional) Get bacon (1).
  • (Optional) Get wine (1).
  • Wait until dawn.
  • Compete with Sir Hans at hunting hares.
  • Go back to the camp.
  • Wait for Sir Hans.
  • Talk to Sir Hans.
  • Follow Hans Capon.
  • Run down the boar.
  • Find Hans Capon.
  • Rescue Hans Capon.
  • Untie Sir Hans.

Notes

  • Henry may or may not have a horse at this point. If he does, he may use it, otherwise he must run along beside his liege.
  • If some of the hares show a "stolen" icon, then they were shot in the wrong part of the forest. Game belongs to the Lords, and usually they are not very pleased about poaching. In this case, Hans doesn't mind. 3 hares should be enough to gain a small reward of 100 Groschen.
  • Henry probably won't have the best equipment when he starts this quest and most possibly will not have trained enough in sword fighting or bow techniques to make an impression on the waiting Cumans in the camp.
